DAY 8
Fly From Jaipur - Varanasi

This morning, fly to the land of Varanasi, a pilgrimage site for Hindus for centuries. Formerly known as Benares, Varanasi is the oldest living city in the world. Mark Twain captured its essence perfectly: “Benares is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend, and looks twice as old as all of them put together.” Hindus believe that anyone who dies in Varanasi attains salvation and is freed from the cycle of birth and rebirth.
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
This evening, join your guide for a walk through the oldest and most famous narrow, winding lanes of the city. Experience the vibrant human panorama—pilgrims, worshipers, sadhus, children selling flowers, and floating lights on the river. Arrive at the ghats of the Ganges to witness the Aarti Ceremony, part of the evening puja (prayers). During the ceremony, diwaas (oil lamps) are offered to Mother Ganges with gratitude and devotion for the sun’s light and her divine power. As the Aarti fire ceremony unfolds, bells ring while chanting and singing create a magical, spiritual conclusion to the day.
